who we are... 

We are a Romanian Start-up, focused on Research and Development especially in bioengineering, with know-how in:

  • Synthesis and functionalisation of gold and silver nanoparticles;

  • Synthesis of vesicles and liposomes;

  • Spectroscopic Characterization through UV-Vis, Raman, IR and XPS;

  • Trapping and sorting of nanoparticles through dielectrophoresis;

  • Manufacturing applications for nanoparticles such as gas sensors;

  • Photocatalytic treatment techniques for nanoparticles under UV-Vis irradiation. 

TECHNOLOGies

Irradiated nanoparticles facilitate better functionalization and binding of interest molecules to the surface of nanoparticles

Trapping of nanoparticles functionalized with biological molecules on the surface of microelectrodes to develop microfluidic devices

 

Impact

Irradiated and drug-loaded nanoparticles have the ability to increase the production of ROS in cell cultures. The result is inhibiting the growth of diseased cells and increasing the viability of healthy cells.

Detection technique of the molecule uses electrodes coated with chemically modified nanoparticles with molecules whose conformational modification modifies the current flow through the microelectrodes

Changing future

  • Increasing the effectiveness of the drug by lowering its concentration                                      
  • Reducing the cytotoxicity of the carrier by determining the means of cleaning the internal organs of gold nanoparticles                                                     
  • Increases drug safety, which becomes toxic to diseased cells but at the same time stimulates the viability of healthy cells
